
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 4:00 P.M.: After an autumnal end of August, summer soaring conditions have returned. Friday’s forecast looks good and Saturday’s looks better, etc. It’s not summer’s last hurrah, but there won’t be many weekends left in 2010 as fine as this one coming up!
Slowly but surely we’re making material improvements here at Crystal. Of course there’s always more to do… Soon, we might bring back a forgotten tradition: the old-fashioned ‘rock party.’ Interested?
SINK IN THE LANDING PATTERN If the landing area is downwind of a cumulus or lenticular, or on the downwind side of a shaded area, expect sink. If a nearby mountain lies upwind, expect sink.
