Last week we had a couple of fine thermal days, including enough early lift to get Mike Koerner started on his latest adventure, a 598-mile flight to northwestern Colorado (see his write up below in SOARING IS LEARNING).   And then on Sunday as predicted, WAVE in which more than one pilot reported climb rates over 2000 foot-per-minute!   That same wave was still blowing Monday, but strong crosswind and low clouds kept us grounded...
