Sunlight itself can cause profound visibility problems, and in every case the issue arises when you’re looking toward the sun.
Haze could become impenetrable in that direction, with lakes or other large reflective surfaces the only things visible.
Of course in winter the sun is always low, and even fingerprints or linty dust on a canopy’s inner surface greatly reduce
visibility. For this reason it pays to be extra tidy about clean canopies during winter months.
