SOARING FORECAST SEPTEMBER 27-30, 2013

THIS WEEK

Late season soaring conditions this week. Sunny clear skies with very moderate temperatures not going above 90 degrees. We are under the influence of very light offshore conditions through Sunday with wind direction favoring Northeast and East. Eventually Sunday to Monday we’ll have the westerlies back with us.

Thermal updraft strength of 400 to 500 FPM are forecast.

The National Weather Service is predicting the following local surface conditions for Friday through Monday:


FRIDAY:
Sunny, Temperature: 75 degrees.
Wind: Northeast 10-20 mph.

SATURDAY
Sunny, Temperature: 83 degrees.
Wind: Southeast 5-15 mph.

SUNDAY
Sunny, Temperature: 86 degrees.
Wind: South 5-10 mph.

MONDAY:
Sunny, Temperature: 89 degrees.
Wind: Southwest 15 mph.
